If you have an item of interest for the team, or just want to vent - YOU can post an article on this blog - which has the advantage of allowing longer pieces than chat or the team page - and express your point. So state in the comments to this item, together with your IWON player name, and I will get it posted.
There are, of course, limits: nothing obscene, please; no demeaning characterizations, nothing derogatory about teammates or competition. Be brief, be clear, be clean - and I will post it.

Sorry but I have never blogged before and it took me awhile to figure this out. I am considering a communication method to help you but at present I have not come up with any earth shattering ideas!! Will be gone for the holidays and will try to get some coins if I can but not sure what to expect. Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Wonderful idea Conley! I have no clue how to get the members on the team to participate in this blog or the home team page. The members I have recruited , at the time of recruitment I have asked them to keep up with the team page for useful information. Whether they have or not I don't know.
You are so right though about the many members that are not playing or playing very little in the team challenge.
It is a puzzle as to how to get them playing when you can't reach them through any of the forms of communication that we have.
Even the team creator doesn't have access to any of the team players emails and that is probably not a legitimate way to reach them anyway if we did have them.
Looks like we will come in second this month and win the 2,000.00 at the very least.
I hope tigerlady is back for December or I fear we may lose many players.

I think that this is a good way to get even more information to the team. While there may be some that don't really participate it is still better than the ADA team where even less seemed to participate. As a way to get more people actually doing their part we could have contests of some sort with potential prizes or we could challenge some to play a certain game.
As for me I'm dedicated towards this team even though I have only been with it for about a week. I play everyday an try to reach the max, which I have yet to do but I do come very close especially with the casino games.

I'm so sorry Conley but looks like you're (IT) so to speak. The following is why I have left Tigersagainstdiabetes. A huge problem will arise if tigerladyjo does not return, as it appears she is not going to. No one has heard from her in 2 months when she was only going to be gone a month or so.
I think we won again for the month of November, coming in 2nd winning the $2,000.00 for the ADA. (another problem herein lies) Bear with me. I don't know if Marie will be able to get in touch with tigerladyjo as she did in September when we won the $10,000.00 for ADA. At that time tigerladyjo had Marie send the check on to the ADA, never going to tigerldy herself.
When tigerlady left she was trying to give the team to someone to take over. I have since learned that she could not do that. No one can take over a team started by some
one else. You would have to start a new team. The fact that she did not delete the team, gave me hope that she would return.
No one is aware of the reason tigerldy left. We all just assumed it was health reasons. But no confirmation of that from anyone.
According to the rules of the December challenge, I have read and re read them today, the winner of the user created teams are under no obligation to send the winnings on to the charities. They can in fact become their own charity and keep the check and break no rules. Their only obligation is to pay taxes on it.
I trusted tigerldy to do what she said and she did. And if she comes back then I will return as well. But....if she does not return then all of this is for naught, because we have no captain, no co captain, no one in charge of the team whether we win or lose.
I don't like being in limbo , not knowing so I will work with other teams until either a new ada starts or tigerldy returns.
I can't even get Ben to answer questions now or I would ask his advice here.
There is in the team's email account Marie's personal email address, perhaps you could write to her for help in this matter and it would not be public as in notes to them. This is probably why so many of our players are leaving as well.
I wish you and the team the best. I really think the best thing here would be to start a new team, but it appears as if no one wants to do that either. :(

I have to agree with Gypsy on the fact that Tigerlady left us in limbo. I would like to know what happened to Jowysocky? This is very odd and I am getting concerned as well. I won't leave the team just yet, but what is the sense in playing for someone who has not told us anything as to what to do while she would be gone.??? As for Gypsy's comment on the email listing it appears to me that they do have it. She never had a problem getting in contact with me, and I did not give her my email addy.? I feel for all this hard & dedicated work that you are doing for this team, and I praise you on a job well done. Something needs to done, or there will be many more leaving as well. This is no joke for us to be doing this, and to be in such limbo that we were left in, and I for one do not appreciate how this has been handled by Tigerladyjo.
I will give this team until the 12-15 and I will have no choice but to walk also until we either hear from Tigerlady, or she returns.
Again Conley you have been a lifesaver for this team, and why didn't she put you in charge if she knew that she would be gone like this. Don't take this the wrong way teammates, but maybe our password is where they are???? I don't want to make this comment but what are we to think?

There are some life events that cannot be predicted, nor covered in advance. Not knowing where tigerlady is, nor why, I have to speculate that her health issues may have taken a turn that left her with no way to reach the team, and no way to deal with IWON.
As to "putting me in charge", my ascent into that position is totally accidental, and quite unwelcome to me. If tigerlady HAD known of the outcome, or of her subsequent inability to help us, I am sure that she would have done something to prepare - but she would have dealt with people whom she knew, and who were better positioned to lead the team. The persons who took charge, did so without any preparation, and did the best they could, until the refusal of IWON to respond to them/us became intolerable to them. It was only their departure, and the total lack of anyone who could or would do the daily dirty work, that led to me becoming - not a leader, for I will not - but a mouthpiece - for the team. While I deeply believe in the cause, and the team, I have led before, and I know that my body will not long take the pounding. In this case, the old "you broke it, you own it" seems to really apply, for a few months more of uncertainty, or even of leadership, will be tantamount to "broke it".
I have looked quite assiduously through the team email account, and the email addresses are scant. It looks as though a few starter contacts were added to from the requests for passwords, and the total is only about 40 or so. The other list, the "Team Member list" appears to contain ONLY player-names for the members. Whether IWON provided that, or Tigerlady got it the same way I once was working on my spreadsheet [see article Recon Mission], by simply going through the avatars, one-by-one, and copying, I do not know.
The good news, if there is any, is that we may well still win a check for December - although almost certainly NOT the $10000. Then that same problem, of getting IWON to pass it to the ADA would resurface, but I would wager that I CAN beat their legal staff into doing that, even if we have not yet located Tigerlady to approve the transaction. I have been down similar roads several times, and I have faith that *I* can eventually make them do what should be done.
BUT - in the case of getting something done quickly, or soon, that is a different matter. Help doesn't. Team IWON doesn't. I have not launched a legal department fight yet, for I am unclear on what is true - mostly because none of them will respond. That may be a deliberate tactic, approved by management - "tell them nothing, and they cannot sue us for misrepresenting or miscarriage, nor any other thing except that we haven't responded - and that ain't against the law."
I think, though, that I am getting close to a letter to the legal department, for this is getting close to the time we must KNOW what is to happen to the November check, and hence, what to do about the team.
